Entry requirements
This course is ideal for students who possess a first degree in a science subject. Other qualifications and experience will be considered with entry being subject to the University's judgement that the person has reasonable expectation of being able to fulfil the requirements of the award. All international students, for whom English is not their first language, must provide evidence of linguistic ability, by gaining either IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent in TOEFL prior to receiving an unconditional offer of a place on the course.

Course description
The course provides students with professional levels of competence in a wide range of current analytical methods including drug screening and confirmation, determination of drugs of abuse in biological matrices, structure elucidation, pharmaceutical drug analysis and formulation; the use of general pharmaceutical monographs for formulated preparations, measuring toxicity and toxicokinetics; project management, and quality assurance.
